Jeff's grandpa passed away a couple weeks ago. We really didn't want to take the kids to the funeral so we left them in Calgary with my mom...well at least the older two. While we were gone they spent the day at my brother's house because my dad was helping him build a deck. Jaden was walking along the joists wearing my mom's shes before the deck boards were put on and fell. She banged her eye and had a little bit of a goose egg by her eye. You can't really tell in this picture because it was taken a few days later when it was all yellow, but there was a pretty good bruise there and a little scrape.
Then later that day (a couple of hours before we got home) she was jumping on the trampoline with her cousins and she caught a head in her chin. She already had some really wiggly two front teeth but this knocked them really loose. It was literally dangling there. She would not let me pull it though. The next day we were at Jeff's parents house for dinner and she was riding the longboard. She fell off it and scraped the other eye up pretty badly. AND, the next day she pulled her own tooth and it didn't even bleed. That's how ready it was to come out.
Her other front tooth was really loose (the one you can see in the above picture) and when she was eating lunch she bit into something and looked at me with a smile and her other tooth was twisted sideways. It made me want to throw up! It was so ready to come out as well. She looked so beat up! I tried to convince her that if she pulled the other one the same day the toothfairy would give her $5 ($2 for each tooth and and an extra dollar for saving her a trip back in a few days). She didn't like that idea though. Instead she wanted to carry her tooth around with her to show people. I told her to put it under her pillow right away so she didn't lose it because if she doesn't have a tooth to put under her pillow then the tooth fairy doesn't come. Sure enough, after me telling her about 5 times to leave it at home, she took it over to grandma's and lost it. SO...the tooth fairy didn't come. Someone had to teach her a lesson on listening! Is that mean? This is Auntie Julie's bird named Chuck. Jaden thinks that Chuck liked her the best because he liked to sit on her head!
Jaden's school had Quest Theatre come to their school and each class acted a little skit out for a little concert. Jaden's class did one about a Centipede who buys 100 shoes for 100 feet. It was pretty cute. Jaden is right in the middle...the tallest kid there!
This is my attempt to get a picture of my kids. I know it's not a great picture, nor is it a nice background, but they had just bathed and were goofing around in my room so I snapped a few. This is the best I could get! (Oh, and Cody wanted his hair to look like Wolverine that day! He had it in two spikes and then Jeff changed it to a trihawk!)

even though she got a bit beat up...she still looks cute and i'm sure still had the best time ever with grandparents and cousins.
awwwwwwww
oh good that the tooth came out! it gave me the chills when she moved it around. that is a cute picture there at the end. i love how cody wanted his hair like wolverin!
Poor Jaden, she really does look like she's been beaten up. Good thing kids heal so quickly. Is Mylee any closer to walking yet?
